The hapless Tampa Bay Buccaneers break an 11 game losing streak by beating the Green Bay Packers 38-28. Aaron Rogers threw 3 interceptions and was sacked 6 times. He leads the NFL - sacked 37 times. How's that top pick rookie Quarterback working out for you there, Mr. Thompson?
I've always been a diehard Green Bay Packer fan, but I was overjoyed to see the Minnesota Vikings easily defeat the Packers on Sunday - the reason? Brett Favre! Brett Favre played for the Packers for 16 years and led them to 2 Super Bowls. He joined the team when they had a losing record and helped turn the team around to become a winning powerhouse, and he never asked to be traded to another team. In the Spring of 2008 he announced his retirement, but had a change of heart and asked if he could return to the team. For all his hard work and dedication he was told No, the Packers are moving on, and Rogers is going to be our Quarterback now. In my opinion, I would have said, " Brett you can play for the Packers as long as you like to, you will always be welcome here! " Coach Mike McCarthy and General Manager Ted Thompson should be fired for greedily and foolishly putting a franchise above a loyal and dedicated football player, no, not just a player - a living legend! Minnesota Vikings - 38 Green Bay Packers - 26
